Imagination selects INTERRA’s VEGA H264/MVC Analyzer for 3D Video IP Development

MVC is the latest addition to the widely popular H.264/AVC video encoding standard developed with joint efforts by MPEG/VCEG that enables efficient representation of multiple views of a video scene in one video stream. Intended for encoding stereoscopic (two-view) video, free viewpoint television and multi-view 3D television, MVC is gaining wide interest and momentum in Consumer Electronics, DTV market, and other applications such as Mobile 3D video and Telepresence. MVC standard enables superior compression performance for delivering 3D video and is backward compatible with the H.264/AVC codecs.

Interra’s Vega H264/MVC analyzer presents an in-depth view of MVC by performing frame by frame and block by block analysis of encoded streams.
