Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc. Awarded Contract with the State of Florida's Department of Environmental Protection

Cost savings to the State of Florida amount to more than 30% over previous year

MONTGOMERY, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc. (ICS) announced today that the Florida Department of Environment Protection (DEP) recently awarded ICS a contract for application support and maintenance outsourcing. The contract, awarded through the Office of Technology Information Services (OTIS), is valued at just over $700,000 for fiscal year 2010-2011, and is a new type of maintenance outsourcing for DEP.

Through this new contract, ICS has the initial responsibility of maintaining and supporting standard and proprietary applications deployed throughout seven business units within DEP. OTIS expects business units to increase the number of applications over time as they realize the value and cost savings associated with ICS’ service arrangement. The contract is expected to save the agency an estimated 30 percent compared to FY 2009 expenditures for the same services, due to improved pricing and increased productivity.

The contract became effective on August 2, 2010.
