Avnet Announces First-Ever Virtual Power Forum

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas (EMA), a business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), will launch its first-ever Power Forum, focused on providing design engineers with practical, how-to training on power electronics design. This two-day virtual conference, hosted by Avnet subject matter experts and more than 15 of today’s leading power technology suppliers, will be held September 22-23, 2010 from 11 AM to 5 PM EDT. Comprised of two key components, Avnet’s Power Forum is a refreshing twist on the standard approach to online training. Attendees have access to the virtual Training Center, which will host over 30 online, on-demand presentations and videos focusing on power design techniques and solutions. Each presentation lasts between 15 minutes to an hour and can be immediately applied to real-world design challenges. The second component of the Avnet Power Forum is the Application Center, which provides engineers with a deeper dive into key products in four power application areas: renewable, portable devices, light-emitting diode (LED) lighting and industrial, communications and computing power. The Application Center contains a large selection of selector guides, datasheets, whitepapers, videos and more.
