California Hotel & Lodging Association Education Foundation Announces $35,000 in Scholarship Awards

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The California Hotel & Lodging Association Education Foundation (CH&LAEF) announced nine award recipients for three unique scholarships. These scholarships, along with the sponsorship of the Hospitality Conference geared towards students’ continued education in the hospitality industry, and the American Hotel & Lodging Education Foundation scholarships to California students total $35,000 for this year. This assistance is provided through generous industry supporters, who firmly believe in the development of the next generation of the hospitality industry.

In addition to the General and Working Professional scholarships, the CH&LAEF also awards the Kevin Johnson Memorial Scholarship which recognizes outstanding high school students and provides incentives to continue their education in a hospitality program and to ultimately commence a career within the lodging industry.

The award winners of these scholarships are exemplary students and an asset to our industry. This year’s winners come from the Hotel School at Cornell University, California State University Chico, San Diego State University, Santa Barbara City College, California Polytechnic Institute of Pomona, City College of San Francisco and University of San Francisco.
