RedMere Announces the Launch of Japan’s First Ever Smart Ultra Slim HDMI Cable with Embedded Booster At
BUFFALO KOKUYO SUPPLY INC

DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RedMere®, a leading supplier of smart active cable solutions, has partnered with BUFFALO KOKUYO SUPPLY INC, to launch the new High Speed Slim 1.4 HDMI cable for use in home theatre, PC’s, PC peripherals, satellite box and gaming high definition and 3D TV applications.

BUFFALO KOKUYO SUPPLY INC, using RedMere’s patented active cable technology, has produced a HDMI cable product that is unique to the Japanese market. In today’s home electronics market the demands for sleeker and more ergonomic HDTV’s with greater performance and 3D compatibility are rapidly increasing. The output from the PC peripheral or satellite box to the HD TV will only be as good as the cable that connects them, and until now traditional HDMI cables have been thick, short and unwieldy.

Because of the built in booster, the new High Speed Slim BUFFALO KOKUYO SUPPLY INC cable is far thinner and lighter than standard HDMI cables. Available in length’s of 2, 3 and 5 meters and with a diameter as slim as 3.5mm, this high speed HDMI cable can support data rates of up to 10.2Gbps all while maintaining the latest in 1.4 HDMI compliance. The cable also maintains full HD 3D, 1080p, and 4K2K standards and comes with a built in high speed Ethernet and audio return channel (HEAC).

RedMere’s pioneering active cable technology can enable the HDMI cables to become thinner, lighter and more routable than the traditional HDMI cables. Because of RedMere’s proprietary energy harvesting technology no external power supply is needed. In addition, 80% less copper and 80% less PVC are used in manufacture making it one of the most environmentally friendly active HDMI cables on the market while maintaining maximum output performance.

Available through BUFFALO KOKUYO SUPPLY INC, the High Speed Slim HDMI cable is simple to install and disguise and the slim minimal design of the cable will compliment the modern aesthetics of the contemporary home. The High Speed Slim HDMI is now available on the BUFFALO KOKUYO SUPPLY INC homepage and throughout their retail stores in Japan.

Ruud van der Linden, RedMere’s Chief Marketing Officer commented ‘RedMere are delighted that such a powerful presence in the Japanese CE market as BUFFALO KOKUYO SUPPLY INC chose to use our patented active chip technology. We feel that RedMere’s cutting edge technology that supports a greatly improved HDMI cable form factor with no reduction in data integrity will delight the Japanese CE consumer.’
