SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--Wyse Technology, the global leader in cloud client computing, today announced support for VMware View™ 4.5 upon availability. VMware View 4.5 is a virtual desktop product that establishes a modern, virtualized architecture for desktop computing, enabling a personalized user experience and flexible access to data and information.
“Delivering this high level of service for VMware desktop users is imperative as they continue along the path toward IT as a service.”
By supporting VMware View 4.5 across its line of desktop, mobile, and handheld thin and zero clients, Wyse enables customers to take advantage of the product’s cloud computing architecture to deliver high levels of quality of service for desktop users.
Benefits for Wyse customers include the VMware View 4.5 offline desktop access feature, providing supported clients the ability to perform work even when disconnected from the corporate network. Integrated management enables enforcement of security and compliance policies, even while disconnected – an enhancement to the inherently tight security of Wyse thin and zero clients.
The support for VMware View 4.5 advances the close technology partnership between the two companies. As Curt Schwebke, chief technology officer at Wyse explains, "VMware View™ 4.5 complements our vision of how cloud client computing transforms the way organizations access critical data and applications. When combined with Wyse software and hardware, VMware View 4.5 will enable our VMware-based customers to make even greater savings without sacrificing end user performance and security."
"Through our partnership with Wyse Technology, joint customers implementing VMware View™ 4.5 can benefit from a high performance desktop environment complete with personalized user experience, and flexible, secure offline access," said Vittorio Viarengo, vice president, End User Computing Products, VMware. "Delivering this high level of service for VMware desktop users is imperative as they continue along the path toward IT as a service."
