DENVER--()--Ping Identity, the Cloud identity security leader, today announced that it has joined the RSA Secured® Partner Program and certified interoperability between PingFederate® and the RSA SecurID® two-factor authentication solution from RSA, The Security Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC). This interoperability partnership and certification creates a solution that provides stronger access controls to Cloud applications, helping to increase security for joint customers.
“Our PingFederate Integration Kit for RSA SecurID allows organizations to use PingFederate Cloud SSO (Single Sign-On) and RSA SecurID authentication in an integrated manner that helps improve security, saves money and increases application usability.”
“Ping Identity utilizes a cost-effective way to use RSA SecurID authentication to provide secure, strong authentication to any number of Cloud applications,” said Ping Identity CTO Patrick Harding. “Our PingFederate Integration Kit for RSA SecurID allows organizations to use PingFederate Cloud SSO (Single Sign-On) and RSA SecurID authentication in an integrated manner that helps improve security, saves money and increases application usability.”
The PingFederate Integration Kit for RSA SecurID connects PingFederate running at an Identity Provider site directly with RSA® Authentication Manager, which integrates with the organization’s directory. When a user with an RSA SecurID software or hardware token attempts to access a Cloud application, PingFederate generates a SAML or WS-Federation assertion and transmits it directly to the Service Provider through a secure connection. The Service Provider then grants the user access to the application. The user is never prompted to log into the application, hence no need for an Internet password.
“We are pleased to welcome Ping Identity to the RSA Secured Partner Program. Through our inventive collaboration we can support the needs of organizations by providing enhanced authentication technology that helps to protect joint customers to securely access Cloud-based applications,” said Ted Kamionek, vice president, business development and technical alliances at RSA. “Through the certification, Ping Identity customers can add an additional level of security that reduces complexity and increases confidence within dynamic business environments.”
