LONDON--()--Russian bank, Rosbank, is the latest issuer to let its customers personalise their payment cards using the patent-protected AllAboutMe card customisation technology provided by global technology vendor, Serverside Group.
“Working with Serverside Group is allowing Rosbank to take a more personal approach to meeting our customers’ needs. We hope that My Style will strengthen Rosbank’s image as a customer-oriented financial institution and attract young people and other forward-looking clients.”
Rosbank is the largest privately-owned bank in Russia with more than 600 outlets covering over 70 regions. It currently has in the region of 1.95m cardholders.
The recently launched service, branded My Style, is available across Rosbank’s MasterCard, Visa and Maestro portfolios and will primarily be aimed at younger, internet-savvy cardholders aged 25–30 who bank online.
Rosbank will be charging customers the equivalent of $12 to design their cards.
Serverside’s cutting-edge AllAboutMe card ‘designer’ will enable Rosbank’s cardholders to enlarge, rotate, move or flip their chosen image so they get just the card they want in a matter of seconds.
No software downloads are needed and the entire card design process is 100% secure. Cardholders can either upload their own images or choose an image from a gallery.
In the coming months, Rosbank will be marketing the new service in a number of ways, including:
- Print booklets announcing the new service that will be available in-branch
- Banner advertisements on the bank’s homepage and across the online banking environment
- Advertising and editorial across select print and online media
- An online card design competition, where cardholders upload their design to a gallery and urge friends and family to vote for them in an effort to win prizes
Once the initial consumer-focused campaign is up-and-running, Rosbank plans to roll out the service to its small business clients, enabling them to customize their corporate payment cards with branding, logos and images of their own.
Like other financial institutions globally, Rosbank is keen to enjoy the numerous benefits of customised card programs, from increased transactions and interchange fees due to front-of-wallet placement to improved acquisition and retention rates.
Perrine Gilbert, Chief of Retail Business Directorate, Rosbank, commented:
“Working with Serverside Group is allowing Rosbank to take a more personal approach to meeting our customers’ needs. We hope that My Style will strengthen Rosbank’s image as a customer-oriented financial institution and attract young people and other forward-looking clients.”
Tom Elgar, Co-founder and CTO, Serverside Group, added:
“Rosbank is a significant new client for Serverside and has a comprehensive strategy in place to promote customised cards to its customers. We look forward to supporting both their consumer and corporate programs in the months ahead.”
