Mellanox® Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX)(TASE:MLNX), a leading supplier of high-performance, end-to-end connectivity solutions for data center servers and storage systems, today announced that it will demonstrate record performance benchmarks of VM migration with vSphere vMotion on top of Mellanox ConnectX-2 EN 40 Gigabit Ethernet adapters during VMworld 2010. The benchmark results using 40GbE show more than 200 percent improvement in migration time over 10GbE and a 10x performance improvement over 1GbE. The demonstration showcases Mellanox’s Ethernet performance leadership in providing connectivity solutions to private and public cloud infrastructure.

Mellanox is the first company to demonstrate VM migration at 40Gb/s. ConnectX-2 EN 40GigE adapters are backwards compatible with 10GigE fabrics and are interoperable with available 10GigE and upcoming 40GigE switches from major switch OEMs.
