SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--ATP®, a leading flash memory manufacturer known for its high-quality, durable flash and DRAM memory modules, announced that it has been awarded the “Most Innovative Flash Memory Customer Implementation Award” by the Flash Memory Summit for its Sesame Street Video USB product.
“Most Innovative Flash Memory Customer Implementation Award”
The industry respected award recognizes innovation in the implementation of flash memory in a real customer application. ATP Electronics has merged the Sesame Workshop’s educational content in a new technological format in the form of a character specific flash drive. Each of the seven different flash drives features a character specific full length, erase proof video. In addition to the video content, each flash drive also contains storage space for 400 photographs, 400 songs and a virtually unlimited amount of written content and connects directly to the Sesame Street website.
“We are proud to collaborate with a company at the forefront of technology creating durable and superior products that are designed to meet the media needs of today's families--when they want it, where they want it,” said Scott Chambers, Sesame Workshop’s Senior Vice President, Worldwide Media Distribution.
“Consumers are seeking an integrated package for listening and viewing entertainment content that is simple and transparent for their mobile computing experiences. Flash memory is becoming a cornerstone implementation vehicle to make that happen,” said Jay Kramer, Chairman of the Awards Program and VP of Worldwide Marketing for SEPATON. “We are proud to select ATP Electronics with their innovative Sesame Street Video USB drive for the best of show innovation award.”
The Flash Memory Summit 2010 was held August 17-19th at the Santa Clara Convention Center located in the heart of Silicon Valley. The summit is the only conference dedicated to the $25 billion flash memory and solid state drive (SSD) applications. The submissions were evaluated by a panel of judges who considered the distinctiveness of the product, the central use of flash memory as an innovation, and the technical and business significance to the marketplace.
“We are extremely honored that the Flash Memory Summit has chosen ATP and its implementation of the Sesame Street Video USB drive as the award winner,” said Michael Plaksin, ATP Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “ATP’s commitment to excellence and our close collaboration with the Sesame Workshop allowed us to deliver on all customer requirements. Fans of all ages are now able to view educational content in an entertaining and innovative new format.”
