CHICAGO--()--Two local GEICO sales representatives – Kevin Ware of the Midway neighborhood of Chicago and Tim Calcagno of Schaumburg – will be welcoming their GEICO colleagues from around the country August 26-29 when they gather in Chicago to celebrate GEICO’s sales representative of the year.
“We look forward to continue serving the people of Illinois with the kind of savings and service every driver should expect.”
Among the GEICO guests to the Chicagoland area will be GEICO Chairman Tony Nicely; Richard Kidd, vice president of GEICO sales management; and Mary Zarcone, vice president of GEICO operations in Illinois.
According to the company, the number of GEICO policyholders in Illinois has grown steadily despite the spirited competition in the auto insurance industry today.
“We’re very pleased that drivers in Illinois appreciate GEICO for providing them with the best service and the best price,” said Zarcone. “We look forward to continue serving the people of Illinois with the kind of savings and service every driver should expect.”
Ware joined GEICO in 2008 to start his own business and has been an active member of the local community ever since. His office, located at 8549 S. Cicero, participates in Taste of Chicago, the Chicago Boat Show, the Comer Children’s Hospital Golf Classic and the National Urban League Conference. Ware and GEICO auto adjusters hold seminars for local Girl Scout troops to explain the basics of auto care and safe driving and they provide local schools with teen safe driving materials. Ware’s GEICO office also sponsors the local Torco Racing Route 66 Drag Race.
Calcagno joined GEICO two years ago to create his own business operation in Schaumburg. From church fundraisers to town parades, Calcagno’s office is no stranger to helping out Schaumburg community organizations. He’s a sponsor of the Schaumburg Flyers, and he and GEICO auto adjusters promote teen safe driving in local schools and also teach auto care and safe driving to scouting groups in the area. Calcagno’s office, located at 670 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg, also sponsors events at Great Lakes Naval Base throughout the year.
GEICO (Government Employees Insurance Company) is a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies and is the third-largest private passenger auto insurer in the United States. GEICO provides auto insurance coverage for 9 million policyholders and insures more than 16 million vehicles.
