MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. & LOS ANGELES--()--TheFind, the second largest and fastest growing shopping engine according to comScore, and Magento, the global open source eCommerce platform, today announced a strategic partnership that makes it easy for Magento customers to submit their product feeds directly to TheFind for free. Using a downloadable extension available now (also for free) in the Magento Connect marketplace, Magento customers can immediately begin to upload their product feeds directly to TheFind.
“As the fastest growing eCommerce platform, Magento’s large base of retailers goes straight to TheFind’s core value proposition of providing comprehensive product search across the head and tail of commerce”
Magento also indicated that in the next release of its Community, Professional, and Enterprise editions, this product extension will be pre-bundled and included in the standard feature set of each product edition. With the ability to easily submit feeds directly to TheFind, Magento customers will have more control over how their products are merchandised, including the ability to more accurately reflect time-sensitive changes such as inventory levels and pricing.
“The value in our relationship with TheFind accrues directly to our merchant customers who will benefit from improved visibility and relevance on TheFind which should ultimately translate into more conversions,” said Roy Rubin, CEO of Magento. “We are excited to recognize TheFind as an Industry Partner as we both offer truly complimentary services to online merchants.”
“As the fastest growing eCommerce platform, Magento’s large base of retailers goes straight to TheFind’s core value proposition of providing comprehensive product search across the head and tail of commerce,” said Siva Kumar, CEO of TheFind. “Our patented web crawl allows TheFind to surface inventory from every store, but in terms of accuracy and relevance nothing compares to receiving a direct feed and we’re excited to welcome Magento’s 60,000+ merchants to our index of direct feeds just in time before the busy shopping season starts."
The next release of Magento’s Community, Professional, and Enterprise versions is slated for the October timeframe, and at that point all Magento merchants will be able to submit their product feeds to TheFind directly from their Magento administrator panel. Merchants are also highly encouraged to join TheFind’s UpFront Program, which is known to provide an additional boost in search relevance on TheFind. Information about UpFront and other offerings from TheFind can be found at TheFind’s Merchant Center at merchant.thefind.com.
