TRUMBULL, Conn.--()--Océ, an international leader in digital document management, today announced that Océ North America Document Printing Systems has begun selling Canon printing and document management solutions, enabling Océ customers to benefit from a broader range of high quality products and services.
“We are excited with this first of many introductions that will enable us to provide our customers with the best printing products and technology available in the market.”
“This is an important step as Canon and Océ create the overall No. 1 presence in the printing industry, building on an enhanced scale and a combined history of innovation and excellent client service,” said John Reilly, President, Océ North America, Document Printing Systems. “We are excited with this first of many introductions that will enable us to provide our customers with the best printing products and technology available in the market.”
“The addition of the Canon imageRUNNER 3245i/3245/3235i/3235/3230/3225 models to Océ’s distribution network marks an important milestone as the companies move toward offering customers the industry’s most comprehensive portfolio of document solutions and we look forward to further expanding the range of products available through this channel in the near future,” said Junichi Yoshitake, senior vice president and general manager, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A.
“The first Canon office products launched by Océ will be the Canon imageRUNNER 3200 series. With six models, including the imageRUNNER 3245i/3245, imageRUNNER 3235i/3235, imageRUNNER 3230 and imageRUNNER 3225, this series delivers solution platforms capable of handling many office’s copying, printing and document workflow needs,” said Thomas O’Neill, Director, Product Operations, Quality & Technology Center. “The imageRUNNER 3200 series helps customers achieve their business goals with smarter printing and document workflow solutions.”
The imageRUNNER 3245/3235 deliver up to 45 pages-per-minute (ppm) and 35 ppm, respectively, with two versions available at each speed level including the “i” models, which feature PCL, PostScript 3 (emulated) and Color Universal Send technology. The imageRUNNER 3230/3225, delivering up to 30 ppm and 25 ppm respectively, offer end-users the flexibility of network printing with Canon’s exclusive UFR II technology and can be upgraded with a variety of options, including PCL and PostScript 3 (emulated).
The imageRUNNER 3200 Series features an easy-to-use color, touch screen user-interface (UI) that improves usability and enhances user productivity. To support today’s mobile workforce, front-facing USB ports enable users to scan documents directly to USB devices and print directly from USB devices without connecting to a network.
For streamlined document distribution, the imageRUNNER 3200 series feature Canon’s Color Universal Send technology, which allows users to quickly distribute scanned documents in black & white or color to multiple network destinations, including email and internet fax addresses, as well as local mailboxes. Using Canon’s MEAP technology, the imageRUNNER 3200 series becomes a smarter document workflow solution. MEAP technology enables a variety of software solutions, including Prism, Equitrac or eCopy, to be accessible directly from the MFP operator panel. Users can initiate workflows directly at the MFP, input required indexing or routing information, or use optical character recognition (OCR) capability to streamline overall business processes.
Security and robust device management are also key features of these imageRUNNER models. With Single Sign-On, up to 5,000 users can be authenticated on an MFP against a domain server using the same network credentials. Users can also choose Department ID Mode, where MFP access is controlled with user IDs and passwords stored locally, or Simple Device Log-In, an enhanced form of Department ID, where users enter their personal IDs and passwords for greater tracking. With Canon’s imageWARE Enterprise Management Console, administrators will find managing these devices on the network easy and efficient.
Finally, utilizing Canon’s advanced technology, the imageRUNNER 3200 series offers a reduced environmental impact through a number of technical innovations, such as very low 1W electrical consumption in Sleep Mode and Canon’s RAPID Fusing System that allows quick start-up times and decreased energy draw.
