TAIPEI, Taiwan--()--“Taipei International Food Festival 2010” sponsored by Taipei City Government with “Taipei Delicious Restaurant Selection Activities” is going to end soon. Today (July 31st), a final competition “Food Oscar” is going on and 25 selected restaurants will again join a “Food Oscar” award banquet for the final competition. Each restaurant has to make three yummy dishes this time, the first dish shall be served with a subject of “flower”, the second one is a Specialty dish of the restaurant, and the third one shall be cooked with the assigned ingredient - “Water Bamboo”, a Taiwanese native ingredient.
Various international chefs are invited to join the activity. Perry Yuen from Hong Kong, the first Chinese chairman of Hong Kong Chefs Association and a WACS international judge, Peter Chen from Malaysia, whose cooking experience is more than 27 years, a new Asian Chef – Chia-chi Lee as well as other famous chefs from Taiwan – A-Shu Li, Dong-Po Jheng, Lan-Shu Chen and An-Chi Cheng (Taiwan famous master chef Fu Pei-Mei’s daughter), etc. will attend the activity to be judges and make cooking shows. The chefs will also share with us their outstanding skills on Taipei gourmet food. “Taipei Impression Dishes” are specially tailored by the chefs to serve for Taipei.
The “Food Oscar” award banquet is grandly held tonight and it’s also making a perfect ending for “Taipei International Food Festival 2010.” All the gourmet dishes will show up on that night.
