John Langdoc Voices Support for Federal Court Ruling that Halts Toxic Pesticide Use in California

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Baron & Budd, P.C. attorney John Langdoc spoke out today in support of a recent federal ruling that halts use of certain toxic pesticides in California's Bay Area. A federal court signed an injunction imposing restrictions on the use of 75 potentially toxic pesticides while the Environmental Protection Agency formally evaluates their potentially harmful effects.

In California's Bay Area alone, state records show that about 10 million pounds of pesticides are used annually; and since most home use of pesticides is not reported to the state, the total pesticide usage is believed to be much higher.

In addition to halting use of the pesticides by cities, wineries and farms, the court's ruling requires information to be provided to other pesticide users, including tags with written and graphic information regarding the adverse effects of pesticides to be located at the point of sale.
