BUENA PARK, Calif.--()--StarDot Technologies, a manufacturer of high definition multi-megapixel IP cameras and video servers, and Exacq Technologies, a developer of open architecture, Video Management System (VMS) solutions for security and surveillance applications, are excited to announce that StarDot’s new line of multi-megapixel H.264 cameras is now fully supported by Exacq Technologies exacqVision VMS.
“We are very excited about the release of our new line of dual-codec H.264 cameras and just as excited to have Exacq Technologies to be one of our first NVR partners to integrate with our H.264 cameras”
The exacqVision VMS software is a true open, cross platform system used in video surveillance systems. The server software is installed on exacqVision hybrid servers, exacqVision IP camera servers and commercial off-the-shelf servers running on either a Windows or Linux operating system. Every exacqVision server can be viewed and administrated from the free client software available for Windows, Linux and Macintosh computers. The client software connects to an unlimited number of exacqVision servers (regardless of the operating systems being used) creating a scalable surveillance solution utilizing both analog and network cameras.
With the introduction of StarDot’s new line of dual-codec H.264 NetCam SC cameras, available in 1.3, 3 and 5 megapixel resolutions, users can now better leverage the viewing and recording potential of multi-megapixel resolution cameras. By offering higher compression rates than standard MJPEG encoding, H.264 helps decrease the stress on network infrastructures and reduce the cost of storage. StarDot is one of the few megapixel IP camera manufacturers to support dual-codec multi-megapixel (H.264/MJPEG) video streaming with full time analog video output.
“We are very excited about the release of our new line of dual-codec H.264 cameras and just as excited to have Exacq Technologies to be one of our first NVR partners to integrate with our H.264 cameras,” said Vance Kozik, StarDot’s Product Manager.
