HOLLYWOOD, Fla.--()--eVoter (www.eVoter.com), the first online destination where candidates, voters and endorsing organizations connect, launched its California Primary Election site today at http://california.evoter.com
“Before eVoter, there wasn’t a single website that provided voters with everything they need to know for Election Day”
eVoter.com (www.eVoter.com) is now California’s only non-partisan election website that enables voters in California to locate their polling place, generate and print a customized ballot, view organizational endorsements and donate to campaigns. Voters can now find the information they need to cast an informed vote in one easy to use location. Candidates can communicate with voters by purchasing a customizable online profile, and endorsing organizations can widely publicize their candidate endorsements on eVoter.
eVoter made its debut in the 2010 Illinois primary election (http://Illinois.eVoter.com), earlier this year. According to Adam Kravitz, CEO of Political Technologies, the company behind eVoter.com (www.eVoter.com), 8.5% of those who voted in the Illinois primary visited the site, helping those candidates and organizations with eVoter profiles reach over 146,000 motivated voters.
“Before eVoter, there wasn’t a single website that provided voters with everything they need to know for Election Day,” said Philip Muller, President of Political Technologies.
The site (located at http://California.eVoter.com) includes complete ballot information for every federal, state and local race, including propositions and local measures, in the June 8, 2010 California primary election. For candidates and organizations, a minimal registration fee provides access to a streamlined platform of tools for communicating with motivated voters. The service is completely free for voters.
Although top-ballot candidates get the benefit of additional online exposure to motivated voters, it’s the down-ballot candidates that reap the largest return on their small investment with eVoter.
eVoter expects to build on its success in Illinois, not only in California, but in more than a half-dozen states by the 2010 General Election and all 50 states by 2012.
