Saudi Arabia Health Care System Receives Coveted “Excellence in Electronic Health Records” Award with QuadraMed’s EHR Solution

The Arab Health Exhibition and Congress is the leading healthcare exhibition in the Middle East and the second largest in the world. More than 2,500 exhibitors and 50,000 visitors from 65 countries attend the four-day annual event in Dubai. The Excellence in Electronic Health Records Award is given to the healthcare provider that makes the most innovative use of EHR to reduce medical errors; improve quality and safety; increase efficiency, and enhance interoperability throughout the continuum of care.

The honor was bestowed on SANG-HA for making the greatest advancement in development of electronic health records in their facility. This was achieved through the utilization of QCPR at its King Abdulaziz Medical City (KAMC) in Riyadh and the application’s expansion to two Eastern Region hospitals, Al Imam Abdulaziz bin Faisal Hospital in Dammam and King Abdulaziz Hospital in Al Hasa, as well as their primary healthcare centers.

The 1,000-bed academic medical center is the flagship facility of SANG-HA’s extensive network of teaching hospitals and ambulatory-care clinics, which serve National Guard members and dependents, as well as Saudi nationals who need tertiary care. SANG-HA has also contracted with QuadraMed to install its electronic health record at 12 outpatient clinics across Saudi Arabia. Four ambulatory care sites affiliated with KAMC have already implemented QCPR. QuadraMed’s CPR solution paves the way to a unified patient EHR across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia linking a dispersed patient population to a single National Guard enterprise patient number.
