The Nest Magazine Brings High-Demand Content to Newsstands

The Knot Inc. Furthers Strategy to Extend The Nest Brand Offline

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Knot Inc. (NASDAQ: KNOT), the premier media company devoted to weddings, babies, and everything in between, announced today that it will now be distributing The Nest, the company’s magazine brand dedicated exclusively to life as a couple, on newsstands nationwide.

The Nest picks up where The Knot leaves off after the wedding, providing real world, stylish solutions for setting up a home and making modern marriage work. Originally, the magazine was distributed through a controlled circulation to newly married members of The Knot, but due to overwhelming demand, in 2010 The Knot Inc. made a strategic decision to extend the brand’s reach to newsstands.

With approximately 70 percent of couples today living together before getting married (The Knot OTX Lifestage Study 2009), today’s announcement will offer consumers easy access to the award-winning publication featuring fresh, smart, and direct editorial for young couples on hot topics such as décor tricks, shopping, dinner, money management, and getting along.

Beginning June 2010 The Nest Magazine will be available at select retailers including Barnes & Noble, Borders, Target, Walmart, and more. This latest extension of The Nest brand furthers the company’s mission to be everywhere young couples seek out lifestyle advice and ideas for modern life.
