LONDON--()--Kaplan, Inc., a leading global provider of education and a subsidiary of The Washington Post Company (NYSE: WPO), has announced the appointment of David Munns as Chief Financial Officer of Kaplan Europe.

Mr Munns, who takes up his post at Kaplan Europe on 15 March, joins from Rocco Forte Hotels where he has been Group Finance Director during a period in which the company expanded rapidly, including adding the Middle East and North Africa to its existing European operations. Previously, he was with Pearson, most recently as Chief Financial Officer of the Financial Times Publishing Group.
Based in London, Kaplan Europe provides education and training for professional qualifications, English language programmes, pathway programmes into universities, and higher education. In addition to his role as CFO for these businesses, Mr Munns will support Kaplan’s strategic programme for future growth in Europe.
