CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--23 individuals have been nominated for the Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange’s (MITX) 2010 Future Leaders Group – recognizing their leadership, spirit, entrepreneurialism and early impact on the Massachusetts innovation economy. Nominations were solicited from the MITX Board of Directors.
“We’re proud to have such a stellar group of nominees for our inaugural year”
Individuals named to the final Future Leaders Group (FLG) will be a valuable resource for the organization; providing a fresh perspective on up-and-coming technology trends, pop culture and consumer behavior. The FLG will also have access and exposure to MITX events and education; networking opportunities with MITX members; as well as direct engagement with the MITX Board of Directors, which includes CEOs such as Brian Halligan of HubSpot; Andy Miller of Quattro Wireless; Scott Savitz of Shoebuy.com; Venture Capitalists such as Jeff Bussgang from Flybridge Capital Partners and Jeff Glass of Bain Capital, and luminaries and market-movers like Larry Weber, Rich Miner and Don McLagan.
“We’re proud to have such a stellar group of nominees for our inaugural year”, said Kiki Mills, president of MITX, “it’s clear there are many promising leaders in Massachusetts and we are excited for the opportunity to work with them in the early stages of their careers.”
As part of the selection process for the FLG, individuals must have exhibited leadership qualities and submitted answers to a series of questions designed to identify the true visionaries among the nominees. Future Leaders must be in the beginning stages of their career; a focus on new media is a plus, and they need to be eager, motivated and entrepreneurial in spirit. A committee at MITX will determine the inaugural group of leaders based on submitted applications. The final list will be announced March 31, 2010.
