HOUSTON--()--Fresh-Pak Corporation announces the introduction of Eco-Sheet Lite Plastic Slip Sheets, an economically and environmentally superior alternative to wood pallets and competitors’ heavier slip sheets.
“When we introduced the original Eco-Sheet slip sheet, we said it would be the first of many new “green”
According to John Bazbaz, President of Fresh-Pak, “We have engineered our new Lite product to provide the same functional performance as the original, but with 7-10% less material. This reduced weight translates to reduced transportation costs and lower greenhouse gas emissions.”
Compared to wood pallets, Eco-Sheet slip sheets cost less, weigh less, take up less valuable space, are made from 90%+ recycled materials and are 100% recyclable. The company estimates that it keeps over 50 million pounds of plastic detergent and similar bottles out of landfills.
Rudy Macdonel, Fresh-Pak’s Director of Sales and Marketing, added that, “When we introduced the original Eco-Sheet slip sheet, we said it would be the first of many new “green” products that we would develop. Our new Lite product is the next step down the road to a sustainable supply chain.”
