Hospice Pharmacia Proudly Supports Medical Mercy in Haiti Relief Efforts

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hospice Pharmacia, a hospice pharmacy and medication management service, donated essential medication to Medical Mercy to assist with their Haiti relief efforts. Recently, Medical Mercy, the medical component to Mission of Mercy, sent ten doctors and nurses to Port au Prince, Haiti, to provide medical services to those wounded by a series of catastrophic earthquakes. Hospice Pharmacia sent $10,000 worth of medications and wound care supplies to help stock Medical Mercy’s makeshift pharmacy, which provided emergency medicine to more than 600 patients over the course of a week.

Carleen Rogers, a member of the Medical Mercy team, arranged the donation with Hospice Pharmacia. “Hospice Pharmacia was able to provide much needed medications and wound care supplies to so many that had been hurt during the recent earthquake. It is good to know that Hospice Pharmacia is willing to take care of those around the world in need just as readily as they take amazing care of hospice patients everyday,” she said.
