AUSTIN, Texas & NEW YORK--()--Modavox, Inc. (OTCBB:MDVX), a leading provider of marketing platforms that allow marketers and their agencies to harness digital and new media consumption to expand audience reach, today announced that it has retained Austin, Texas-based Phillips & Company, a strategic communications firm focused on helping companies grow through integrated public relations and business development campaigns. The agreement is aimed at helping Modavox rebrand itself in name as Augme, and position Augme as a leader in marketing-driven technologies, providing platforms to create marketing networks that dynamically enhance the audience brand experience.
“Modavox understands that the real value of strategic public relations is how effectively it helps drive revenue and growth to the company. The Modavox leadership team gets it. And we are proud to be a member of the team”
Modavox will announce the name change to Augme February 15, which will be accompanied by a strong go-to-market strategy and the launch of a new website to communicate the company’s vision for the future growth of the company, as well as other integrated communications to support the effort.
“We are already aggressively – and successfully – pursuing a high growth business strategy based on leading edge marketing-driven technology platforms and defensible intellectual property,” said Mark Severini, CEO of Modavox. “Partnering closely with an established public relations leader like Phillips and building out our go-to-market strategy is the next important step to reach customers with the right message so we can capitalize on our current technology leadership, accelerate revenue and win market share.”
Phillips & Company has been working with both established leaders and start-ups in mobile technology and digital communications since 2003 with the launch of its global Mobile Computing and Wireless Technology practice. The company has helped companies identify issues and build sustainable leadership positions in mobile and Internet markets including business and entertainment.
Said Rich Phillips, president of Phillips & Company, “Mobile marketing will transform the way we understand and interact with brands. We will see an evolution from mobile advertising to mobile marketing and video networks that connect consumers to brand communities. Technology like Augme’s core marketing platforms will make it possible to create markets on demand through all Internet-enabled devices, resulting in a better brand experience for consumers and almost unlimited potential for growth.”
Unlike traditional public relations firms, Phillips & Company will work with the Modavox team to integrate public relations with business and sales strategy to drive business value through the communications process. “Modavox understands that the real value of strategic public relations is how effectively it helps drive revenue and growth to the company. The Modavox leadership team gets it. And we are proud to be a member of the team,” said Phillips.
