CLEVELAND--()--Savvy Avenue officially launched its online service in Cleveland today, providing consumers the best offers and daily deals for Cleveland’s locally-owned restaurants, boutiques and entertainment locations.
“Cleveland is a diverse city with a wide selection of quality, locally-owned restaurants, unique boutiques, shopping and entertainment. Savvy Avenue connects merchants with consumers who are looking to discover new shopping and dining opportunities. It’s a low-cost, effective way for merchants to discover new customers in a tough economy”
Savvy Avenue provides daily email offers or purchase incentives for Cleveland’s top restaurants, spas and retailers. The offers, on average, provide consumers up to 50 to 75 percent off a specific item, service or purchase. Savvy Avenue strives to partner with Cleveland’s “hot spots,” to create exclusive deals or packages only available to Savvy Avenue subscribers.
“Cleveland is a diverse city with a wide selection of quality, locally-owned restaurants, unique boutiques, shopping and entertainment. Savvy Avenue connects merchants with consumers who are looking to discover new shopping and dining opportunities. It’s a low-cost, effective way for merchants to discover new customers in a tough economy,” said Nik Koele, Co-Founder of Savvy Avenue.
Savvy Avenue is also helping local consumers support their favorite charities as they shop and purchase certificates. Each month, a portion of every purchase will go toward a featured local charity or nonprofit, which will be selected based on subscriber feedback through focus groups, personal contact and online networking sites, such as Facebook.
For the month of February, Savvy Avenue has identified The Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood as the nonprofit organization it will support. For every certificate purchased, $1 will go to the Beck Center to help maintain its full range of programming for the performing and visual arts.
“One thing is clear – we Clevelanders are loyal to our community. We are committed to helping local organizations, like the Beck Center, and supporting local businesses so our community succeeds. We at Savvy Avenue are looking to give Cleveland consumers what they want – the best places to eat and shop, at the best possible prices AND the ability to help local organizations along the way,” said Stacy Bogart Bohrer, Savvy Avenue Marketing Director for Cleveland.
Today’s Savvy Avenue offer to its subscribers was a $31 face-value ticket for the price of $15 to one of the opening weekend performances, February 5 through 7, of the Beck Center’s production of Mark Twain’s “Is He Dead.” Future offers will include well-known local merchants, such as Ponte Vecchio, Danny Boys, The Golf Dome, RJ Bolands, WHYM Dance + Movement + More, Papa Santis and more. Savvy Avenue began in December with a soft launch in the Cleveland market, emailing offers to subscribers who found the company through Facebook or word of mouth from friends.
To further support the Beck Center, Savvy Avenue is currently sponsoring a photo contest, “Where Is The Love,” on Facebook. Participants may enter their favorite photo of themselves, family or friends. The Facebook Fan with the photo that receives the most “likes” by February 15 will win 6 free Savvy Avenue certificates of their choice, along with a $50 gift certificate to Melt Bar and Grilled in Lakewood for both the first and second place winners. Based on the number of “likes” the winning photo receives, Savvy Avenue will match that number with a donation to the Beck Center.
