GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Universal Consumer Products, a subsidiary of Universal Forest Products, Inc. and maker of Latitudes composite decking and railing, announces the addition of Latitudes Intrepid™ Railing to its spring 2010 lineup.
Latitudes Intrepid Railing
Latitudes Intrepid composite railing features a robust, symmetrical railing profile with an innovative hidden fastener system. The concealed mounting hardware allows for fast, easy installation and provides a clean, seamless appearance. The pre-drilled insert rail assures proper spacing and ease of assembly. This new railing is code-compliant without the use of special inserts for added reinforcement. The Latitudes Intrepid railing system also features a 2x4 rail that can be used to mount all Latitudes ornamental baluster infills into the railing system.
Latitudes 25-Year Limited Warranty
Latitudes Decking and Railing systems, including Capricorn™ composite decking and all composite and ornamental baluster infills, now boast a new 25-year limited warranty. All Latitudes composite decking and Intrepid Railing products employ proven Strandex® technology, which promotes long-lasting beauty and minimal upkeep. Latitudes Marine composite decking, when used in residential applications, will also be covered by the new 25-year limited warranty. Latitudes Luster® Railing will retain its current 20-year limited warranty.
“We can’t wait to introduce our new Latitudes Intrepid Railing system at the 2010 LBM expo in Boston and again at JLC Live in New England," said Dick Gauthier, VP of Marketing for Universal Forest Products. “Dealers and builders will finally have what they’ve been asking for in railing: Beauty, symmetry and strength, with no exposed fasteners. Reliability and innovation once again make Latitudes the brand of choice in composite decking and railing.”
