AZUSA, Calif.--()--Moving furniture and mattresses will take on new meaning in 2010: supporting the fight against breast cancer. A.A.C. Forearm Forklift, Inc. (www.GetTheStraps.com) is launching pink-packaged, pink leverage straps this coming January because they’re proud supporters of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). In fact, a donation of $10,000.00 will be made by Forearm Forklift to help fund breast cancer research.
“The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is honored to have Forearm Forklift as a dedicated partner in our fight against breast cancer”
Forearm Forklift is partnering with BCRF to introduce the new pink lifting straps. BCRF (www.bcrfcure.org) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer by providing funding for research and increasing public awareness about good breast health. It’s raised hundreds of millions of dollars for research since inception in 1993.
“My co-workers and I support the women who are taking care of their families, maintaining their households and looking after their own wellbeing too,” said Mark Lopreiato, inventor of the Forearm Forklift. “All of us here are committed to help protect women’s health and we’re impressed that BCRF is the most highly rated breast cancer organization in the U.S. In fact, it’s documented that over 90% of the resources raised by the Foundation go directly to research grants and awareness programs. They’re an amazing charity, with a great cause and we’re honored to support life-saving research as well!”
Forearm Forklift joins many other companies – Duraflame (duraflame.com), Coach (coach.com), Sephora (sephora.com), Delta Air Lines (delta.com) and Clinique (clinique.com) – that have “turned” pink to improve awareness and fight one of the most common causes of fatality in women. “The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is honored to have Forearm Forklift as a dedicated partner in our fight against breast cancer,” said Robbie Franklin, Director of Marketing at The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. According to 2009 findings from the American Cancer Society, women in the U.S. have a 1 in 8 chance of developing invasive breast cancer in their lifetime and a 1 in 35 chance of dying from breast cancer.
Forearm Forklift moving straps have a patented design that employs leverage which makes the furnishings carried seem much lighter. They also encourage proper body mechanics which reduce the chance of potential injury due to heavy lifting. The straps are also easy-to-use and adjustable. They move furniture off the ground which keeps dollies’ wheels off your sensitive floors. The suggested retail is only $19.95 for a pair. The new pink straps will be available for retailers beginning January 4th, 2010.

ABOUT THE BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION®
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® was founded by Evelyn H. Lauder as an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and translational research. In October 2009, nearly $28.5 million was awarded to 173 scientists across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Australia. BCRF perseveres in directing at least 85 cents of every dollar raised directly to research. And for the eighth consecutive year, BCRF received Charity Navigator’s highest rating, four stars, thus outperforming over 99.8% of the 5,400 evaluated charities, while the American Institute of Philanthropy has awarded BCRF its highest possible rating of A+. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization in the U.S. to receive these accolades. For more information about BCRF, visit www.bcrfcure.org.
