SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Namco Networks, a leading publisher and developer of mobile, iPhone and PC games for casual gamers, today announced the release of the highly anticipated flight simulator game ACE COMBAT Xi Skies of Incursion for iPhone and iPod touch.

Developed by PROJECT ACES, the team responsible for all console versions, ACE COMBAT is one of the best-selling flight action franchises in the world, selling over 10 million games since the original launch in 1995. This Apple exclusive development uses the iPhone and iPod touch gyroscopic sensors and touch screen to control both original and licensed aircraft! Featuring an original story exclusive to iPhone, players can join the Falco Squadron and take off towards enemy-infested skies in this sequel to the hit game Ace Combat X.

Always testing the boundaries, Namco pushes the graphical capabilities of the device’s hardware to the limit as it shines in HD. Players can fly through beautiful vistas made from real satellite imaging provided by the Japan Space Imaging Corporation. The game uses the hardware’s innovative accelerometer tilt control to replicate joystick movement, while weapon controls are placed on screen ready to unleash when engaging the enemy in campaign or free mission modes.
