Cradles to Crayons to Host Annual A Family Time to Give “Ungala” to Help Low-Income and Homeless Children of the Delaware Valley

Event brings together hundreds of corporate sponsors, community leaders and families to sort and package donated items

HORSHAM, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cradles to Crayons (C2C), a nonprofit organization that provides poor and homeless children, from birth to age 12, with everyday essentials they need to be safe, warm and ready to learn, will be hosting their second annual A Family Time to Give “Ungala” on Saturday, November 21 from 10AM – 2PM.

Families and corporate sponsors, such as Bank of America and Comcast, will gather under a large tent outside of C2C’s ‘Giving Factory,’ to sort and process donated items such as new and gently used clothing, shoes, coats, books, and school supplies for our region’s children in poverty. Participants will have an opportunity to tour C2C’s warehouse, enjoy a delicious lunch buffet and live music, but most importantly will inspect books, match outfits, test toys and stuff backpacks with school supplies. For the youngest volunteers, the “Give-unteer” tent will provide youth activities such as coloring birthday wrapping paper and other child-friendly giving activities. Additionally, this year’s participants will have an opportunity to directly sponsor another family by purchasing a “Family Togetherness Package,” a gift that will contain games and other items that a family in-need can enjoy together.

Press is encouraged to attend and can have the chance to tour the C2C facilities, meet with C2C staff and speak with volunteers and/or corporate sponsors.
