Ex Drinks Supports the Tony Hawk Foundation’s Efforts to Create High-Quality Public Skateparks in Low-Income Communities Across the Country

HENDERSON, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ex Drinks accompanied a star-studded cast last Sunday to support the Tony Hawk Foundation at the 2009 Tony Hawk: RIDE Presents Stand Up for Skateparks. One thousand fans and supporters gathered at Green Acres Estate in Beverly Hills for an action sports extravaganza featuring a who’s who of vert skateboarding and BMX superstars. The fundraising component kicked off with a special presentation by Tony Hawk and youth from the Los Angeles community of Watts, who are working with the Tony Hawk Foundation and community leaders to build a skatepark at the foot of the famous Watts Towers. Both adults and kids played in the interactive booths displayed by Ex Drinks and other sponsors. The event raised over $775,000, including $43,500 exclusively for the Watts Towers skatepark. Ex Drinks is also sponsoring the 2009 Tony Hawk: RIDE Presents Stand Up for Skateparks event at Wynn Las Vegas hotel and casino on November 7.
