Unum is named the best large employer in Maine

PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Unum (NYSE: UNM) was named the best large employer in Maine on Tuesday, the fourth consecutive year the company has received recognition in the “Best Places to Work in Maine” competition. The award recognizes companies that have established and consistently promote outstanding workplace environments, and this year a total of 31 Maine businesses were named as finalists.

The award assessment is a two-part process designed to gather detailed data about each participating company. In part one, the employer completes a questionnaire and in part two, a random sampling of employees completes an employee survey. The results of the employee survey make up 75 percent of the evaluation.
