The company also announced that it has introduced new service packages that significantly increase the available speeds of the service, with download rates of up to 4,096 kbit/s and upload rates of up to 360 kbit/s. The expanded offering enables customers to choose from a variety of flexible service packages in order to meet their requirements for high-speed internet access and high quality internet-based telephone calls (VoIP).

The expanded ASTRA2Connect service includes packages with download speeds ranging from 256 kbit/s to 4,096 kbit/s, and allows end users to connect to the internet with free download volumes at all times. The expanded service also offers volume limited packages with a fixed download volume of 2 - 4 GB per month, and a dedicated business package featuring an increased upload of up to 360 kbit/s and advanced VoIP connection for businesses.
Launched in early 2007, the innovative ASTRA2Connect satellite technology offers highly reliable, always-on, interactive broadband internet access, especially in areas without or with limited terrestrial broadband networks. The customer premises equipment – a modem and satellite dish – is low cost and delivered with a tool for easy self-installation. Highly successful in the market, ASTRA2Connect is now available in 14 countries throughout Europe. Most recently, the service was expanded to Africa, where it is offered in 10 countries in Central and Eastern Africa.
