BankUnited Names Nicholas G. Bustle SEVP of Commercial Banking

CORAL GABLES, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BankUnited has named Nicholas G. Bustle senior executive vice president, Commercial Banking. Bustle will oversee commercial, middle market, small-business banking and commercial real estate services to customers in BankUnited’s Florida footprint.

Before joining BankUnited, Bustle spent more than 20 years in various capacities with SunTrust Bank. His most recent role was city president, where he oversaw the activities of the Miami bank. While in this role he spent three years leading the Wealth Management line of business and two years leading the Commercial banking line of business. Earlier in his career he was a middle-market team leader, a commercial lender and assistant credit manager.

An active community citizen, Bustle is a board member and finance committee member of Florida International University, treasurer and executive committee member of the Beacon Council and a member of the boards of directors of Mercy Hospital, Community Partnership for Homeless and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Bustle holds Series 24, 7, 66 and Insurance 215 licenses. He holds a master’s degree in international business from Florida International University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
