Unum Group Announces Investor Meeting

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Unum Group (NYSE:UNM) announced today that it will hold its annual investor meeting on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at The New York Palace in New York City. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon, and will be simulcast in a listen-only mode on the "Investors" page of www.unum.com. It is recommended that interested parties log in to the website approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.

Following the meeting, management will be available to investors during a luncheon hosted by the company at the meeting venue. A complete schedule of presentations will be posted on the company's website at www.unum.com in the "Investors" section on or before Nov. 6, 2009. A replay of the webcast and accompanying slides will be available on the website for two weeks beginning Nov. 9, 2009.
