BORDEAUX, France--()--The Bordeaux Wine Council (CIVB, www.bordeaux.com) is pleased to announce the forthcoming Institute of Masters of Wine Symposium entitled ‘Forging Links’ will be held in Bordeaux June 24-27, 2010 during the bi-annual Fête le Vin. The Forging Links Symposium will address the important connections in the global wine industry.
The Institute of Masters of Wine Symposium is held every four years to examine a fundamental theme of the wine industry and is and is open to all. Next year’s event, held at Cité Mondiale du Vin in Bordeaux’s center, will cover the connections bonding the wine trade together including the influence and use of the internet around the globe, how to deliver customer satisfaction through different business structures, the succession issues around family businesses, winemakers who work with similar varieties around the globe, and emerging markets. The Institute has gathered a host of internationally recognized experts and thinkers to serve as presenters and panelists such as Egon Muller, Zelma Long, Christian Seely, Jancis Robinson MW, Tim Atkin MW, Michel Rolland, Paul Draper and many others.
This international event is supported by the Bordeaux Wine Council (CIVB), the Union des Grands Crus of Bordeaux, the Syndicate of the Grand Crus Classés, the Bordeaux Tourist Office, the Wine Syndicate of Sauternes and Barsac, AXA Millésimes, Riedel Glass, San Pellegrino, the Syndicate of Bordeaux Wine Merchants and CVBG.
During the latest Vinexpo, Dr Joseph Schuller MW, Chairman of the Institute of Masters of Wine and Alain Vironneau, Chairman of the Bordeaux Wine Council, officially launched the symposium at the council’s Pavillion.
