Moelis & Company Announces John Binnie has Joined as a Managing Director in Financial Services

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Moelis & Company announced today that John Binnie has joined the firm as a Managing Director based in New York. Mr. Binnie, who has 22 years of investment banking experience, will be responsible for providing advisory services to clients in the financial services industry.

Mr. Binnie has a long career of advising financial services clients across sectors such as credit cards, mortgages, consumer finance and commercial finance and leasing on a wide range of corporate finance matters including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings and restructurings. Mr. Binnie began his career in 1985 at Salomon Brothers, where he spent 18 years and transitioned with the firm to Citigroup, ultimately becoming the Co-Head of the Banking and Diversified Financials Group. After his time at Citigroup, Mr. Binnie was the Head of Diversified Financials at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Binnie was most recently the Lead Capital Markets Partner at Southgate Alternative Investments.
