County of Sonoma Installs Coulomb Technologies Electric Vehicle Charging Station Infrastructure for Fleet and Consumers

SANTA ROSA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Coulomb Technologies today announced that the County of Sonoma, CA has become the fourth Bay Area location to deploy their ChargePoint™ Networked Charging Stations for electric vehicles. The seven charging stations are now installed throughout the County and will be used for fleet and consumer use. Along with several regional partners, Sonoma County has applied for grant funding to install up to 200 additional stations in the next two years. Coulomb’s charging stations will be officially unveiled to the public in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 9:00 am at Sonoma County Hall of Justice (600 Administration Drive) in Santa Rosa, CA. The EV stations are at the extreme east end, adjacent to Ventura Ave.

The County of Sonoma covers more than 1600 square miles and has approximately 475,000 residents. Coulomb’s charging stations are available to the public during the day, and will be used to charge county fleet vehicles overnight. The charging stations are placed at the following locations:

Sonoma County Hall of Justice – 600 Administration Drive (two stations)
Sonoma County Administration Center – 575 Administration Drive
Sonoma County Permit & Resource Development Department – 2550 Ventura Avenue
Sonoma County Department of Health Services – 475 Aviation Boulevard
Sonoma County Human Services Department – 3600 Westwind Boulevard
