Atomic Public Relations L.A. Named Agency of Record for Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®

Atomic L.A. Responsible for Developing and Supporting Events and Elevating Brand Awareness with a Mix of Media Services from Classical PR and Event Management, Social Media and Digital Video

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Atomic Public Relations (www.atomicpr.com), today announced it has been selected as the ongoing PR agency of record for the Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the world’s largest breast cancer advocacy organization. Atomic PR will provide communications strategy, PR services in print, broadcast, and online media—plus development and event management, social media and digital video production. In addition, Atomic will be responsible for targeted fundraising efforts, building brand awareness campaigns, and the development of local events including Dine out for the Cure® on July 15th. Atomic is also charged with integrated PR support for Komen L.A. County’s annual marquee events, Fashion for the Cure® with Diane von Furstenberg presented by Smashbox Studio on September 24th and the Los Angeles affiliate’s flagship event, Race for the Cure®, March 14, 2010.

Komen Race for the Cure®, Komen Los Angeles County has raised more than $7 million to fund breast cancer programs and research in the last 13 years, which have gone to provide the medically underserved and uninsured populations in Los Angeles County with screening, diagnostic tests and treatments for breast cancer. Up to 75% of the net proceeds from the Los Angeles County Race for the Cure® will provide breast cancer screening, education, diagnostic tests, and treatments specifically for Los Angeles County women, with an emphasis on the uninsured and medically underserved.
