ST PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MD Biosciences, a Preclinical Contract Research Organization (CRO), announces today that it has expanded its preclinical contract research services by launching a line of in vivo models for the study of myocardial infarct and vascular disease. These models enable the evaluation of drug treatment for myocardial infarct.

New models include:

Ligation-induced acute cardiac infarction
Coil-induced acute cardiac infarction
Balloon-induced cardiac ischemia reperfusion
Multi-focal myocardial infarction
Induction of vascular disease

These models offer the flexibility of protocol design for monitoring a variety of parameters such as ECG, invasive blood pressure, SpO2, ETCO2, and PPV. Readouts offered include ECG, Echo, Angiography, cardiac MRI and blood tests for relevant parameters such as CPK. All tests are analyzed by expert cardiologists in collaboration with the Heart Institute, Sheba Medical Center of the Tel Aviv University.
