Dick’s Sporting Goods Introduces NEW No Sweat Product Protection Plan

N.E.W. Customer Service Companies Selected to Provide Leading Sporting Goods Retailer with Product Service and Coverage That Works as Hard as Customers Play

(NEW), the nation’s leading provider of extended service plans and buyer protection programs for consumer products, announced today it is working with Dick’s Sporting Goods, a national retailer offering a variety of brand-name sporting goods equipment, apparel and footwear, to launch a new No Sweat Protection Plan that delivers customers premium service and product replacement. The program kicked off February 1.

Dick’s Sporting Good’s new No Sweat Protection Plan begins delivering value and benefits at the point of purchase and offers up to four years of coverage. Products covered under the service plan include elliptical trainers, exercise bikes, gun safes, GPS/electronics, home gyms, basketball systems, table games and more. By purchasing the plan, consumers receive 100 percent parts and labor coverage, protection against defects due to mechanical and electrical failure including those experienced from normal wear and tear and power surges, plus in-home service and prepaid shipping for eligible products. Bike plans include one tune-up with a two year plan or two tune-ups with a three year plan.

The replacement plan provides consumers with a product replacement card in the event that a covered product fails. The coverage of this plan begins after the store return policy expires and can be purchased for a one- or two-year term. Products covered under the replacement plan include binoculars, tents, camping stoves/grills, backpacks, fishing rods and reels, GPS/electronics, golf bags, bike rack systems and more. Plans for treadmills and bikes are also available.

Customers who purchase the new No Sweat Product Protection Plan will have access to 24/7/365 toll-free customer service and access to a network of 35,000 servicers across the country. Customers who purchased plans under the No Sweat Warranty program prior to Feb. 1, 2009, will also be directed to NEW, which is now assisting with the customer service for that program.
