TUSTIN, Calif.--()--The Association for Corporate Growth Orange County (ACGOC) announced its annual ACG Cup event, a masters-level deal analysis competition designed to give top business school students real-world experience while networking with the county's top merger and acquisition professionals. The event, hosted by ACG OC Academy, will take place from 7:15am to 9:30am on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the O’Brien Innovation Center at California State University Fullerton.
“This case study is a great way to see the math and the judgment that goes into that process as well as the range of supportable outcomes that can be found from a single set of facts.”
A case study on business valuation and its effect on strategy will be presented in a workshop format. The event is an excellent opportunity for business owners to learn about the valuation process, current trends in the mergers & acquisitions marketplace, and provides a forum to meet top business school talent and academic leaders.
“Valuation of a business is both a science and an art, but it can't be learned from textbooks alone,” said Murray Rudin, ACG Cup moderator. “This case study is a great way to see the math and the judgment that goes into that process as well as the range of supportable outcomes that can be found from a single set of facts.”
Sponsored by SingerLewak, a leading Los Angeles-based accounting services firm, this ACG Academy event will provide mergers and acquisitions and investment banking professionals with access to business school talent. Companies looking for investors or outside capital will also benefit from attending.
“The ongoing turbulence in the credit markets has had a major impact on business owners and deal making. The ACG Cup case study will provide insight on the latest techniques to get deals done in this challenging environment,” said Allan Siposs, managing director of FMV Capital Markets and the ACG Cup co-chair.
