HealthPort Appoints April Robertson to Serve as Compliance Officer

In her new role, Robertson will identify and mitigate organizational compliance risks related to HIPAA and electronic discovery; coordinate cross-functional compliance efforts and staff training; oversee investigations into reports of regulatory/statutory non-compliance; and spearhead other compliance initiatives for customers, employees, regulatory agencies, and leadership.

Robertson holds RHIA, RHIT and CHP credentials and is a Fellow of AHIMA. She has earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Health Services Administration. Her honors include receiving CHIA’s Distinguished Member Award, and the Outstanding Service Award from the state of Maine’s Health Information Management Association (MeHIMA).
