ALEXANDRIA, Va.--()--Between the financial crisis and the unemployment rate soaring, the new 111th Congress will have no time to waste when it convenes in 2009. TheCapitol.Net will hold its course, The New Congress 2009: Understanding the 111th Congress, twice in Washington, DC. The first offering of this course will be on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Goethe-Institut and the second will be on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the DC Bar Conference Center. Both offerings run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Independent subject matter experts will review the outcomes of the congressional and Presidential races, electoral trends, and key issues from the 110th Congress to be carried into the 111th Congress.

The New Congress is for professionals who have to work with the new Congress on a regular basis.
The one day course includes a continental breakfast, a networking lunch, and copies of the Congressional Deskbook by Michael Koempel and Judy Schneider and published by TheCapitol.Net and the then-available Congressional Directory.
