StubHub Launches “Tickets for Trees” to Help Restore California’s San Bernardino National Forest

StubHub to Donate a Tree for Every Ticket Sold to Saturday’s San Diego Chargers Playoff Game; Partnership With National Forest Foundation Will Support Planting Thousands of Trees in Local Forest

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StubHub, the world's largest ticket marketplace, has launched its “Tickets for Trees” program, an effort to plant a tree for every ticket purchased on StubHub for the 2008-09 NFL post-season. With the San Diego Chargers hosting at least one game in the playoffs by virtue of their division crown, StubHub, in partnership with the National Forest Foundation (NFF), today announced that all tickets purchased for the Chargers playoff games will benefit nearby San Bernardino National Forest.

With the Chargers set to host the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, StubHub will plant a tree in San Bernardino National Forest for each ticket purchased through StubHub for that event and any subsequent game at Qualcomm Stadium. San Bernardino National Forest spans nearly 700,000 acres and is home to over 150 different species of plants and animals. Between ticket purchases and individual donations, StubHub expects to plant several thousand trees in San Bernardino National Forest and tens of thousands of trees nationwide in 2009.

1. Buy a San Diego Chargers NFL Playoff or Super Bowl XLIII ticket on StubHub.

2. Donate directly to the National Forest Foundation in the name of the San Diego Chargers.
