Avnet Technology Solutions Taps Industry Veteran Larry Fulop to Lead Embedded Solutions Group in the Americas

TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Avnet Technology Solutions, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced that Larry Fulop has been promoted to vice president and general manager of the Embedded Solutions group within Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Fulop will be responsible for driving the growth and strategic direction of the Embedded Solutions group. This group focuses on integrating commercial off-the-shelf computing technology and customized components with value-added services to create custom solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), independent software vendors, system builders and system integrators. In his new role, Fulop will report directly to Jeff Bawol, president of Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas.

Fulop began his career at Avnet in 1986, where he spent five years in sales and product marketing. He then worked for IBM, where he sold application software in an end-user marketplace. Fulop rejoined Avnet in 2002 as an account development manager. For the past five years, he has served as western area director of sales for Avnet’s Embedded Solutions group, winning awards for the profitability of the territory for the past two years.
