Telecom Optimization Partners Saves The Ben Craig Center 51% on Their Telecommunications Costs

The Ben Craig Center hired Telecom Optimization Partners (“TOPs”) on a no-risk, contingency basis to do a complete audit of their local & long distance services, data services, and ancillary services including maintenance contracts. TOPs, a telecom expense management company, performed a full service audit and inventory of Ben Craig’s services. Through its comprehensive audit and inventory process TOPs identified opportunities to help The Ben Craig Center optimize their network services and monthly spend.

The Ben Craig Center defined 4 main objectives for TOP’s:

• Audit all carrier network services rates and utilization
• Increase data bandwidth for anticipated growth
• Re-negotiate existing and new telecom contracts & terms
• Develop a migration plan for recommendations

TOPs began the process by performing a detailed audit and inventory of all of The Ben Craig Center’s current network services and rates including a detailed utilization report of their existing PRI’s. Based on this information TOPs procured multiple competitive price quotes for local services, long distance, and Internet access as well as entered into negotiations with their current carriers. Based on its expertise and experience TOPs was able to make recommendations to The Ben Craig Center that resulted in a monthly savings of 51% on their monthly telecommunications spend as well as increased their Internet bandwidth from 30Mbs to 40Mbs (33% increase in bandwidth at a 32% decrease in monthly cost).
