InsightExpress Appoints Rory O’Flynn as Vice President of Research for Its Digital Media Measurement Team

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--InsightExpress, a leading digital marketing research firm, announced today the appointment of Rory O’Flynn as Vice President of Research for the company’s Digital Media Measurement team. The appointment is effective immediately.

Led by Drew Lipner, the Digital Media Measurement team is a group of specialists focused on the measurement and optimization of online, mobile, and other emerging media. In his new role, O’Flynn will be responsible for helping to advance InsightExpress’ online and mobile marketing accountability platforms. He will also lead the development of new products connecting behavioral, attitudinal and transactional metrics, as well as measuring creative performance.

O’Flynn joins InsightExpress from Yahoo!, where he spent two years as Research Director, Ad Effectiveness. In this position, he was responsible for managing Yahoo!’s ad effectiveness platform, providing top tier marketers with holistic and comprehensive measurement of their advertising programs and leveraging that data to optimize campaigns on Yahoo! and its extended partner network. While at Yahoo!, O’Flynn also leveraged internal and 3rd party research relationships to deliver ground-breaking insights around marketing accountability. In addition, he led several key analytic projects and committees for the company, including the creative evaluation program, and served as a strategic research advisor to the Yahoo! sales force and their advertising clients.

Prior to Yahoo!, O’Flynn spent several years as the Director of Ad Effectiveness Research at AOL, where he managed the ad effectiveness function for the AOL Media Network (AMN). His research responsibilities included managing ad effectiveness programs for advertising partners, overseeing advertising impact on member satisfaction, and ad model development. During this time, O’Flynn also designed and launched AOL ADlytics, a research platform that measures the offline sales impact of online advertising.

O’Flynn has also held research and analytics positions at companies including Terra Lycos, Wired Digital, Evans Research & Associates and Frost & Sullivan. He received a Joint Honors Degree, BA, in Economics and Political Science from University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland and resides in New York, NY.
