Metris To Incorporate New SpecMetrix Coating Measurement Technology Into Innovative iGPS Metrology System

FORT WORTH, TEXAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Global metrology leader Metris and Sensory Analytics, an emerging U.S. leader in non-contact coating measurement solutions, today announced that Metris will incorporate award-winning SpecMetrix® coating measurement technologies from Sensory into its highly successful iGPS tracking and positioning system. The announcement was jointly made today at the 2008 AeroTest and SME Aerospace Measurement, Inspection and Analysis conferences beginning today in Fort-Worth, Texas.

The iGPS system from Metris is a large scale metrology solution that helps transform large fabrication facilities into accurate metrology-enabled areas. The addition of the SpecMetrix technology into the iGPS handheld measurement probes will now enable aerospace and defense industry manufacturers to more quickly and precisely measure a variety of specialty coatings in real time, without the use of templates or time-consuming manual test and measurement methods.
