Automatic Data Processing Increases Cash Dividend 14%; Marks 34th Consecutive Year of Dividend Increases

ROSELAND, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The board of directors of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADP) approved a 14% increase in the cash dividend to an annual rate of $1.32 per share, Gary C. Butler, president and chief executive officer, announced today.

The new quarterly dividend of 33 cents per share compares with the previous quarterly dividend rate of 29 cents per share. This increased quarterly dividend will be distributed on January 1, 2009 to shareholders of record at December 12, 2008.

The increased cash dividend marks the 34^th consecutive year in which the company has raised its dividend.
