USANA Board Member Ron Poelman Named Outstanding Director by Utah Business

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ron Poelman, member of the board of directors for USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: USNA), has been selected as a 2008 Outstanding Director by Utah Business magazine, in association with the National Association of Corporate Directors, Utah Chapter.

Utah Business stated that the Outstanding Director Award honors those directors who have demonstrated the necessary leadership and business savvy to help guide their businesses to success. Poelman, who has served on USANA’s board of directors for more than a decade, was one of five directors recognized at an awards luncheon held today at the Wells Fargo Building.

Poelman joined USANA’s board of directors in 1995, and has watched the company become the 8^th largest public company in Utah. Poelman has helped USANA avoid many of the difficulties companies face with rapid growth, and assisted in its transition from a family-owned business to a public company traded on NASDAQ.

Poelman is a partner in the Salt Lake City law firm of Jones, Waldo, Holbrook & McDonough, where he is head of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group. Poelman is a founding officer of the Utah Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors, and frequently lectures regarding corporate governance and related topics. Poelman received a bachelor’s degree in English from Brigham Young University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley.
